Drone Aerial Photography in Lancashire | Morcambe Beach

Drone Aerial Photography of Beach Art in Lancashire

We worked with Barefoot Wines to create a promotional film to help promote their clean beach initiative. The enlisted a team of sand artists to create an art work on Morecambe Beach. The best way to appreciate the massive art work when completed was from the air. Hopgrove were booked to provide the footage in video and still images.

It was a real race against time as the tide comes in really fast in this part of the Lancashire coast. In just a few hours as the tides receded, their sand art team created a beautiful example of beach art. Our drone filming team documented every stage of the art work. We worked alongside the team to capture the art both on the ground and in the air. When it was completed we had just enough time to fly over the finished work and record it in all its glory

Morecambe Beach in Lancashire is a large area and we were able to use the agility of drone filming to show the finished art from above. Just a few hours later, the incoming tide washed away the work of the beach artists, leaving our drone film as the sole record of their busy day.

The Drone Technology we Used

We use drone systems and support technology from the market leaders in the drone and aerial filming industry. The DJI Inspire drones have quiet, vibration free brushless electric motors to enable unobtrusive filming with battery technology that allows practical and effective flight times.

The Zenmuse camera systems are 3 axis, gyro stabilised and shoot incredible 4K UHD video and high resolution 15 megapixel still images. Images are streamed live to our control systems enabling precise control and stunning aerial filming to be accomplished quickly and accurately.

Because Hopgrove are fully certified by the Civil Aviation Authority for commercial drone filming work in Yorkshire, we are able to film from the air with all of the required permissions in place and ensure we are always legally compliant on site.

Together with the £5 million public liability insurance we carry and the CSCS construction site certification for site safety, we were able to film alongside your teams as they go about their work.
